High Resolution Aberrometry

Aberrations of both low and high orders can be measured with high accuracy with PhaseView's Digital Wavefront Camera, DWC®. DWC® typically features absolute accuracy of λ/100 over entire dynamic range of several hundreds of wavelengths, with repeatability of λ/1000, the resolution of about 250 000 measurement points per aperture diameter of 3-8 mm. The measurement frequency of 25 Hz or higher is achieved. These performances can address specific applications like high resolution imaging of retina nerve terminations, aberration compensation and beam forming with Spatial Light Modulators (SLM). DWC® boasts the highest achievable fidelity in measurement of both low and high order aberrations of the human vision system. It provides simultaneous imaging of both pupil and wavefront, to the same high resolution limited by the dimensions of the digital camera's pixel size. Their outstanding resolution and high sensitivity in low-light situations lead to benefits in measuring thin retina nerve terminations in early detection of glaucoma and ARMD or detecting extremely thin post-operation scars on cornea in post-LASIK surgery complications. DWC® can be easily integrated in various diagnostic ophthalmic instruments providing them ultimate resolution and accuracy in human eye characterization. |
